Hold the lighter sideways with your middle finger on the hinge, your index finger on the top of the lid, and your ring finger on the top of the case.
Open the lighter by moving your index finger downwards.
Once you do that, squeese the lid with your middle and index finger to make the lighter turn.
The lighter should start to rotate downwards.
As the lighter does this, replace your index finger with your thumb so that you can strike the wheel with your index finger.
You can close the lid now, but i prefer to spin the lighter by holding the lid with my thumb and middle finger. It takes practice, but this trick shouldn't be that difficult to master
