Hold the lighter by it's cap between your index and thumb with the hinges pointing away from your hand. With a little downward move/twist with the wrist, open the cap and swing the lighter through the space between your index and thumb. Use your other hand to ignite. Close with a quick upward wrist twist. Good luck!
