1. Hold the lighter in your left hand (if right handed) so that the lighter is above your right hand and so the hinge is facing up.
2. Snap the fingers of your right hand so that after the snap your thumb hits the hinge and flips it open, when it is open turn it so the lighter is right side up.
3. Snap those fingers again making sure that your middle finger hits the wheel and lights the lighter.
