This trick is clean as well as pretty uncomplicated. What it lacks in degree of artistry, it makes up for in strong sense of minimalist style and broad field of use. This is a trick for all occasions.
Hold the lighter firmly as shown on the picture. Make sure that none of the fingers block the cap.
Tilt the lighter upwards with a fast twist. Make sure that the twist is done with the wrist only. Using the whole arm is not the way to go. This sudden movement will force the cap to bounce up, revealing the striking wheel.
Flip the striking wheel gently from above to make the lighter ignite.
