Card Trick:
The spectator is asked to choose a card. The card is replaced and shuffled off. The magician shows the top card and says it will be hers. The spectator holds this card in their hands. The magician casually asks what the chosen card was and removes it from the pack. He holds the chosen card between his hands. With a magic word, the cards suddenly change places, the spectator now holds her chosen card and the magician holds his card, formerly in the spectators hands.
Trick Secret:
This is actually a fairly simple trick, requiring little slight of hand and plenty of misdirection. The spectator chooses a card, say the five of hearts, and it is replaced and controlled to the top of the pack with a double undercut. Perform a double lift explaining that this is going to be your card. Ask the spectator to hold out their hands palm up. Sandwich the real top card between their hands before they have time to peek. Casually shuffle the cards and ask what their card was. Now pretend to find it and take it out of the pack removing the card that was originally second from top, the two of spades, instead. At this point the trick is over. Use your imagination to give it the best magical effect possible.
