Card Trick
The magician is handed a shuffled deck and he separates the black cards from the red cards without looking at their faces (note: this trick does not use a marked deck or a stripper deck).
Trick Secret
Separate the black cards from the red ones. Now bend the red cards (hamburger style, aka folding the long ends closer to each other) one way and the black cards the other. Overhand shuffle the two halves together and you are set.
Explain that you will attempt to separate the red cards from black ones while they are face down using ESP. Take the deck and one by one go through them making two piles of cards. Put the cards bent one way in one pile and the cards bent the other way in the other pile. Though this method seams crude and obvious to you, your spectators will find this feat baffling.
