How to Get Rare Pokémon in the Game Boy Trading Card Game:

1. Understand that you can use four ways to get this card. One is simple, and the other three are pure luck (but fun to try).

2. Choose the Charmander and Friends Deck, which includes a Charizard, when you start a new game.

3. Duel someone who gives you one or more Evolution Booster Packs when you win. Keep battling, and every time you get an Evolution Booster Pack, hope for a Charizard.

4. Find a friend who has a Charizard and is willing to trade or give it to you. Go to any dueling club in the game, and visit the woman behind the counter in the upper left-hand corner of the lounge. Talk to her, select Receive Card, and wait. Your friend must also go to her, and select Send Card. Your friend must select Charizard. After confirming the selection, both of you must place the infrared ports on the top of your Game Boys close together and facing each other. Then press A, and the card will be sent to you.

5. Find a friend you have never Card Popped with, and turn on your Game Boy. On the start-up screen, both of you must select Card Pop. Place the infrared ports of the top of your Game Boys next to and facing each other. When you are both ready, pray you get a Charizard, and press A twice.
