343 Guilty Spark: Deadly bubbles

When you get dropped off by the Pelican, run to the front of the ship. In front of the ship you well see a rock. In front of that is two trees. In front of the two trees is another rock. If you go to the left of the rock, you are in very deep water. Duck to get underwater. If you shoot, you will see bubbles. If you shoot at the lily pads, the bubbles will kill you.

343 Guilty Spark: Floating guns

Immediately after exiting the Pelican at the start of the level, run to the front of the Pelican to find a rock. Jump onto the rock and then onto the Pelican. Run to the back of the Pelican. As the Pelican lifts upwards to take off, you will be able to see a ledge. Before the Pelican takes off, jump from the Pelican to the ledge. Continue on the ledge, looking off of it every now and then to see where you are. When you get to the doorway that you would enter to get to the elevator that takes you into the complex, walk of the ledge slowly. Do not walk far away from the door. After entering the door, walk out of it backwards and you will see floating guns shooting at grunts. If you hit the guns, they make a metallic thud noise. After awhile they will disappear and you may continue the level. Go to the energy bridge that you can turn off and on. Turn the bridge on if it is not already in that state. Get a gun and place it on the energy bridge. Get off the energy bridge. Turn off the energy bridge and the gun will be floating in air.

343 Guilty Spark: Mendoza alive

Immediately after exiting the Pelican at the start of the level, run to the front of the Pelican to find a rock. Jump onto the rock and then onto the Pelican. Run to the back of the Pelican. As the Pelican lifts upwards to take off, you will be able to see a ledge. Before the Pelican takes off, jump from the Pelican to the ledge. Continue on the ledge and eventually you will see a Marine. He is Mendoza, one of the marines from the intermission sequence, showing the introduction of the Flood. He is unarmed and he does not move. Killing him does not affect anything later in the level.

343 Guilty Spark: Trip to heaven

As soon as the Pelican is about to let you out, throw a plasma grenade out of it while you will stay in the Pelican. It will take you to a high land, while a flying explosion will kill a group of Covenant. You will also see the end of the level -- all whiteness. The Pelican will land and let you out. You can walk through background forests, and if you go far enough, you will see a marine in a brown suit standing there for no reason.

Alternate Ending Movie

Beat The Maw on legendary difficulty to see a new ending movie. The new movie will feature the Sarge and an Elite fighting over an Assault Rifle. Then, both of them will look towards the Pillar Of Autumn as it starts to blow up. The Sarge will then say to the Elite: "this is it baby, hold me". Then they will hug and the game will get back to it's original ending movie with the Chief flying off in the Longsword.

Alternate ending sequence

Successfully complete the last level of the game in campaign mode under the legendary difficulty setting. The new ending features a human and alien fighting hand to hand. The human will say "Its over", and then they hug because they know the explosion will kill them both.

Alternate way to change weapons

If your weapon change button is Y and your melee attack is B, it can be fun to run up to something while carrying the rifle. Then instead of pressing B, roll your thumb over Y, then B . This will cause the Master Chief to melee with his other weapon without having had to take it out (for example, shooting with the shotgun and clubbing with the rocket launcher). This can also be a sly way of changing weapons.

Assault On The Control Room

Go to the area where the Goliath tank is located. Take out the tank, but do not go past the pond that it sits on. After you take it out, look up on the wall until you find a ledge sticking out with a light on it. Shoot the middle of the pad on the underside. This may take a few attempts until you get the Banshee that falls off the ledge. Get in and fly down the tunnel. Take out the Hunters at the bottom, then get out and open the door. Fly to where the bridge is broken and take that enemy out. Get out of the Banshee and snipe the enemies on the other side of the gap. Get in the Banshee and fly to the door. Open it and fly through. Keep going in the Banshee until you get to the area with the second tank. Go to the ledge and grab the other banshee on the large middle island. Take it and keep flying in the same direction until you see two bridges. Go to the one next to the one above the door on the ground. Go until you come out on the bridge where the "I wish I had a super weapon" message appears. Take one of those and fly to the top of the pyramid and finish the level. This is a good way to easily complete this level under the legendary difficulty setting.

Assault On The Control Room: Weapons

Where you cross the bridge, and all the little guys are sleeping, press B to hit them and quickly kill them. Leave one on the left or right still sleeping. Throw a plasma grenade on the turret. They will scream and sometimes get in the turret. Get back and watch the him fly out of the turret and fall to the ground very far below. Sometimes the turret will fall on him. When the dropship flies over and the other people with the shields start shooting at it, go up behind them and throw a plasma grenade on his head. He will run around and explode. Sometimes, he will fly all the way down to the ground below. Finally, when you get to the Banshees (flying alien vehicles) fly as high as you can. Then, floor it to the ground and hit people on the ground. Press L to shoot missiles and R to shoot lasers. Also, you can fly as high as you can and jump out. You will fall for a while, then hit the ground with a big "ch-wunk".

Assault On The Control Room: Ammo

It is possible to get unlimited ammunition in this level in multi-player mode. To do so, get to the under ground tunnel and to the loading point. Have one player reload and the other go through the loading point at the same time. The player that reloaded will have unlimited ammunition for that gun. However, if you change guns or press X you will lose your unlimited ammunition. You can go back and do the trick again. Both players can have unlimited ammunition. If player two reloads his weapon as player one crosses the checkpoint, the weapon being reloaded will never run out of ammunition. You will still need to reload it as usual but the clip value will not decrease. This state will continue until you change weapons, or die.

Assault On The Control Room: Banshee

Get a rocket launcher during the second time you get attacked by a Banshee in the level (under the easy difficulty setting). After you kill the second Banshee, go past the two Hunters then kill the rest of the enemies. You will encounter two more Hunters after you meet up with about six of your men on the ice patch. Kill them and you will reach the next big outdoor area, where you fight a group of little Convenant on top of the cliff with one tree in the middle of some rocks. Do not go past that battle area or the rocks that the Convenant have taken cover at. After you defeat them, go to the wall on your far left, directly above the cliff. You will see a little rock. Stand on it. It should be sitting just at the base of the large cliff wall. Stand directly on top of it. You should now how the third Banshee attacks. You must know where he appears (before he takes off in order to get it. Try and spot the Banshee just laying around in the far background of the outdoor field. You can jump and try to spot the Banshee if necessary. After seeing it, equip your rocket launcher, use the scope to get the best aim, and fire at it. Jump and shoot in order to get a good shot. Keep firing until you have flipped the Banshee on its back. Then, go over there. Ignore the Convenant shooting at you until you get to the flipped Banshee. There will be a tall Convenant just standing there. Kill him, flip the Bashee over, and it is yours. Take advantage of the opportunity to explore the level with it, including getting to the ground at the bottom of the bridges.

Assault On The Control Room: Blow bodies

Go to an elevator during a cooperative multi-player and ride to the bottom. Make sure you have a lot of grenades. Take turns falling into the hole so there are bodies all over the floor at the bottom of the hole. Make sure your partner respwans before you fall. When you are done falling, there should be a lot of bodies and grenades. The more grenades lying in the hole, the better. Then, have someone throw a grenade into the hole. When the grenade explodes, it should detonate all the other grenades with it, making all the bodies fly sky high.

Assault On The Control Room: Bypass

In Assault On The Control Room, towards the end of the level you will cross a snowy bridge with two Banshees on it. Run and quickly enter one of the Banshees. You can skip the last part of the level by simply flying to the top of the large structure below, where the large door is located. If you are in cooperative play mode, have the other player die and they will reappear next to you. Have them open the door and then you can simply shoot down the masses of Covenant waiting inside. Fly inside and have the other player open the next door. The third door, before the control room and level ending sequence, is now in front of you. Arrange it so the second player is now in the Banshee and fly it directly in front of the door. Have the first player open the door. If done correctly, the Banshee will fly in, killing the first player. The game will not know what to do and will show various camera shots of places in the room. Eventually, Cortana will appear out of the console as she is supposed to and will carry out her conversation with the disembodied voice of the Master Chief.

Assault On The Control Room: Music

Get the first early Banshee during the part where you have the tank and have to kill the tank on the frozen lake. Take the Banshee to the part where you find the marines down the slope and wait at the top of the cliff. Wait until the Covenant dropship arrives and the music starts to play. Then, immediately fly over the structure with the tunnel underneath it. If done correctly, the music from this area will not stop playing. Other music will play along with it.

Assault On The Control Room: Phantom

In Assault On The Control Room, get to the snow covered bridge. Rush to take control of one of the Banshees, to skip the last part of the level. Kill all the Covenant and head towards the control room. Take care of the Covenant on the way, and park the Banshee next to the door operator. Open the final door and quickly hop back into the banshee. Start moving forward as the doors open. The FMV sequence will start, and the Chief will jump out of the Banshee and immediately get run over by it. He will be laid out on the ground, but the voice parts will continue. The Chief will work his way to standing while leaning on the assault rifle.

Assault On The Control Room: Shortcut

At the part where you have to leave the Marines to carry on, continue on and fight more Covenant. When you get to an elevator, go up and you find a Jackal at the top when the elevator stops. After killing him, continue until the part where there are two bridges. When you get on the first bridge, you will find some sleeping Grunts. It is best to leave them sleeping. Immediately get on the bridge, turn right, and you will reach some sort of glass wall. Just to the left of the glass wall you will see what appears to be a small pillar or stone. There are other stones to the left of that particular stone your looking at. Jump on the stone pillar. You may need several attempts to do so. Once you are on the stone, the glass will be to your right, the other stones will be to your left, and the other bridge will be in front of you. Turn right until you are facing the glass wall. You can now see the top of the glass wall. Turn to the right so that you can see the top of the glass wall, then jump on the glass wall. If you miss, you either safely fall back onto the bridge or fall off the bridge and down to your death. After making it onto the top of the glass wall, turn slightly to your left and try jump on to the other bridge. By this time the covenant should have already discovered you and will start shooting. Once you are on the other bridge, continue on to complete the level. This is useful when playing under the legendary difficulty setting to avoid fighting all the Covenant, especially the Elites and Hunters.

Assault On The Control Room: Sniping

As you exit the lower door into the valley, head to the large vertical support for the pyramid. There is a large crack where this support is anchored in the ground. Jump in -- there are weapons and health located here. After arming yourself with the rockets and sniper rifle, go to the beginning of the vertical support. Hop on it and start walking up. You cannot go all the way to the pyramid, but you will be high over the enemy, who you can pick off at will. The tank is the only weapon that can hit you. However, if you go to the correct location the snow bridge that you crossed will block the shots. This will work going in and when you exit later.

Assault On The Control Room: Spinning ring

At the Halo start up screen, choose multiplayer mode. Choose cooperative play at the next screen, then choose your profiles at the next. Choose the level where in the beginning it says, "I would have been your daddy" (Assault On The Control Room). On the difficulty screen, choose legendary. When the level starts after the introduction sequence, have one of the players quickly press X when the "Press X to get on the Pelican" message appears. That player will re-board the ship and start flying with it down the hole. The other player will quickly die because of the aliens, and will be respawned on the spinning ring. Make sure to jump where there are gaps. If you are good enough, you can even jump to a nearby ledge. Additionally, once you are respawned on the ring, quickly jump off and fall to your death. Sometimes you will be respawned on the lowest ledge in all the blue haze, and a "Press X to flip the Pelican" will appear that the top of the screen very briefly.

Assault On The Control Room: Wraith Tank

Take the Scorpion Tank and flip the Energy Tank. The man will fall out. Go up to the tank and the game will say press X to flip Wraith. However you cannot drive it.

Beach: Flying passenger

Get a Warthog and allow Marines to get in. Hop out and go to the passenger side. Place a plasma grenade on his foot that is on the dash, stand back, and watch him fly.

Beat the Truth and Reconsiliation

In the very begging I sugest you use 3 main snipe points. 1st is at the top of the hill near the pelicans landing spot. You'll see two rocks jutting up and one inbetween them. You can duck behin it then waste everyone insight. Next is a rock closer to the edge of the hill if you go forward. Then finally go behind the large wall like thing and come out to waste the rest of them.

Can't kill Flood

This isn't a cheat but it can be annoying. If you have a sniper rifle and you use the shot on a Flood the shot will go right through it which is just plain weird.

Cheap way to kill a freind on co-op

You must do this on co-op. When you get in a Banche fly around and kill your partner. When he/she is dead. Fly into a wall or tree if done right your partner will fall to his/her death. it is pertty mean but fun.

Covenant dropship

When Covenant dropship is getting ready to unload a group of Covenants, throw a grenade into the door as it opens. The blast will kill several of the enemies since they are all in one area.

Defeating Flugs

In the later levels of the game you will encounter new enemies called Flugs. These enemies will be small at first, but they will attack and control anything alive. Use a shotgun on these baby Flug as they tend to group in large numbers. By using the shotgun it will send a storm of bullets and kill most of them that are around. Use a shotgun on the possessed Flug, and it will kill most of them in one shot. This is made easier by the fact that most of them carry shotguns.

Defeating Grunts

When the Grunts are sleeping you can beat them to death with the butt of your gun without waking up any of the other Grunts. You can usually kill a four to seven of them before an alien spots you. They start sleeping in level 5, Assault on the Control Room. Just remember not to shoot or they will wake up.

Defeating Jackels

Use a photon weapon to destroy a Jackel's shield quickly. When you encounter a Jackel, run up and hit it with your weapon or get out a gun that uses bullets, not energy.

Defeating the Second Level

To defeat the second level on Halo easily, the one where you have to kill all the aliens and rescue the survivors, kill the survivors instead. It's much easier and quicker then.

Dime A Dozen

This is more of a technique than a cheat. It helps you to kill elites. Heres how you do it: First, you need a plasma pistol and a human pistol. When you have those, use the plasma pistol first. Charge it up completely. Once charged, shoot the elite anywhere with the fully charged plasma bolt (taking off his shield). After that quickly take out your human pistol and shoot the elite in the head. Note, this will kill any elite instantly if done right. If you don't shoot his head, it only takes a few body shots.

Do it yourself grenade launcher

Get two plasma grenades. Place a grenade down, then place the second grenade in front of it about one to two feet away. Stand back, and when the first one explodes. it will sent off a duplicate of the remaining grenade. When one of the copies stays, the other blasts off in the direction the first grenade was sent it in. Wait for the second grenade's time to go off and watch the explosion either in the air or on the ground. Note: Do not stand too close, as the grenade may cause injury, burns, and/or even death. Throw one plasma grenade a few feet in front of you. Since a plasma grenade will explode in about three seconds, count to two and throw another plasma grenade slightly farther up. If timed correctly, the first grenade will explode as the second grenade is above it. This will send the second grenade about 500 meters. This is useful in multi-player games when you want to confuse the enemy to make them think you are closer than you really are. Note: This must be timed perfectly to get this to work or else you will only throw two grenades as normal.

Easer kills

Covenant:

Grunts: Any weapon.
Jackals: Human pistol.
Elites: Plasma weapons/assault rifle/sniper rifles/rocket launchers.
Hunters: Rocket launches/grenades/assault rifles.

Flood:

Little dudes (parasites): Assault rifles.
Cadavers (body’s): Shotgun.
Exploding things: Nothing can stop them from exploding.

Easy Flood and Covenant Kill

This one works with all of the flood exept the little spider ones. Grab plasma weapons exept for the needlers. Shoot the plasma weapons at them and the flood will fall down and keep shooting them until there is blood all around them. For the covenant, shoot the plasma weapons at them. If you shoot elites, it only should take a few shots to wear down their energy shield with Plasma weapons, then shoot them 3 more times and they'll die. It should only take 2 shots at the most for grunts. The jackals have sheild but you can wear them down with plasma weapons and 2 shots to kill them. You have to switch excessively because the battery runs low. Finding plasma weapons shouldn't be a problem because the Flood and the Covenant carry them all throughout the game.

Easy way to beat levels

Play levels your stuck on in co-op and have one player always hang back in a safe place. This way the other player keeps charging in and killing things. Because one player is far back you'll be able to respawn unlimited times and take out large armies bit by bit.

Elite Kill Trick

In the levels where you must face the Covenant there are certain aliens called Elites. They are the big ones which are usually blue, red, or sometimes yellow. If you have a gun with a scope ie; pistol or sniper rifle,try to get behind an elite without being seen by it. Next, Zoom in at the back of it, you will see yellow spots on his back or his head. If you shoot them a yellow liquid sprays out and they die instantly. This cheat helps because you only need to use 1 bullet and you do not have to get in close to kill it. It also looks cool when the yellow stuff sprays out.

Fewer Enemies on Assault on the Control Room

When yopu get to the first bridge on the assault on the control room, turnt to your left and Jump off (should only be done in 2 player cooperative). there will be a ledge. follow the ledge down until the end ofit. Kill one of the players. when the dead players screen goes "waiting to respawn" you then jump down onto the next ledge and try and slide off it. if you fail try again and again. so that the dead player respawns onto the next ledge than try and attemp to slide off the rock. than if succeeded go to the landing pelican. go upto it andf than press x. it will than take you to the scorpion tank. Use that of the warthog to go to the next door. when there get the banshee. and fly around and do what ever you want.

Fireworks

Through one plasma grenade in a wide open spot, then stick another directly on top of it if you do this fast enough the first gernade will launch the second and vuaola fireworks.

Flashlight

When you get to the part when the people and aliens infected by the Flood start coming after you, turn your flashlight on and point it at them. The large one will stop running and jumping so that they are easier to shoot. However, if you raise your gun to reload, turn away from them or take the light off of them in any way, they will resume running around and try to kill you again. Although the creatures infected by the Flood stand still when you point the flashlight at them, they may still shoot if they have a gun, so kill them quickly.

Flip The Pelican

This code can only be done on 2 players. At the beginning of the level: 343 Guilty Spark, have both players stay inside the Pelican by rapidly pressing the grenade button until both players throw the grenade. The Pelican will soon fly off with both players riding in it. Once the Pelican gets to the area with the 2 dimensional trees, have one of the players jump out. While the player that jumped out is falling, on his screen it will say: "press X to flip Pelican". Have the player that jumped out rapidly press the X button. If done correctly, the Pelican will miss the spot where it normally would land. Have the player that stayed in the Pelican get out as soon as it lands. Look on the player's screen that just got out of the Pelican. On his screen it will say: "press X to flip Pelican". Press the X button and the Pelican will flip over on it's top. Press the X button again and it will flip again and land normally. From here, you cannot flip over the Pelican anymore, however, you can melee it with your weapon and it will slide, just like any of the vehicles that you can drive. This glitch cannot be done on 1 player because if you jump out, the Pelican will disapear, and if you stay in, the Pelican will land safely and you will not be able to flip it over.

Flip The Wraith

The Warthog and the Sniper Rifle is required to do this cheat. Move through the level: Assault On The Control Room until you get through the tunnel that slants up right after the part where it says "Rolling Thunder" at the bottom of the screen. Just ignore the Covenant Dropship that comes down and drops off some Covenant and two Ghosts. Quickly, get out of the Warthog and run to the top of the small hill that has a Gun Turret on it. Zoom in your Sniper Rifle twice and look to the left of the empty Wraith Tank sitting on the ice. You will see an Elite running for it. Quickly, kill him and then take out the rest of the Covenant so they do not destroy the Wraith on accident. Once all enemies are annihilated, get back in the Warthog and keep ramming one of the back corners on the Wraith. If done correctly, the Wraith will flip over. Then get out of the Warthog and walk up to the Wraith. On the screen it will say: "press X to flip Wraith". You can flip it over, however, you still cannot drive it. Explosives will not work to flip over the Wraith, as they would just destroy it.

Frozen Marines

On the level: Assault On The Control Room, take any vehicle and move through the level until you get to the part where at the bottom of the screen it says: "Rolling Thunder". Instead of going forward and look back at the Marines (if you helped them survive through the level until this part) that were chasing after you on foot. They will be frozen in running position. This happens because you took a vehicle through the checkpoint. I recommend not killing them, because if you go through the level normally and come back, they will be unfrozen.

Glitch on the last level

This isn't really a cheat just something to fool around with because i have gone through the game looking for fun errors (and found lots). On the last level (the maw, chapter: .....and the horse you road in on) i was messing about and found this, when you start the level your inside one of the escape pod bays (a small tunnel like thing), walk out of this one and to your left there should be another, walk in here and walk directly down the middle, look down and you should see a really big fall onto a cliff, walk as close to the middle of the tunnel as you can and then walk of the edge, you should fall bounce off a small hill and land still alive (try again if you died), you will now be stuck on this cliff and you can have a look at the ships outside and see how much detail the makers have really put into the game......have fun!!!!

Good tactic for legendary

Here's a good way of killing elites or hunters in legendary. get a needler and some ammo and just unload it on an elite and watch the show --NOTE-- You have to get in close enough for the needles to find their mark, and the delay until they explode leaves you wide open for their plasma rifle, so bring a backup weapon. For the hunters, unload an entire clip at their backs so the shot doesn't reflect off their shield and start shooting at them with another weapon while waiting for the needles to explode (or just sneak up on one and smack him in the back, and if you cant to that...a well placed plasma grenade to the head should weaken it, but it will most likely just piss it off.)

Halo: Drive off cliff

Get to the part where you can get in the Warthog and go off the cliff. Jump out of the Warthog. The Warthog will fall. You can see it fall or stay in it to fall off and die.

Halo: Fast kills

During level 2 "Halo", you will hear the warning "Take cover -- Covenant ship is in boundaries". Run into the ship that you landed in and wait for the enemies to appear. Your motion detector will indicate when they are present. They will eventually walk by, not noticing you. Throw a grenade and start shooting to kill them much faster.

Higher Jump

This is not much of a cheat rather then something I discovered. You have to do this in co-op mode. First go to any level if one of you dies (this has to be done in a building) back up into a corner and sometimes that person will be reborn on your thus making that person able to jump higher.

Hippo shells

Fire a shotgun shell. Look at the shell with sniper rifle or pistol. You will see a hippo on the shell.

How to get a Banshee sooner than the bridge

Assault on the control room: How to get a Banshee sooner than the bridge, 1 player. Fight your way through the level to the first snowy open area, kill the enemy tank and all the rest of your enemies then hop into the Warthog. Make sure you get the Rocket Launcher and the Sniper Rifle. The next open area has a battle raging and an empty Scorpion, hop into the Scorpion and waste all the Covenant with the cannon. To the left is tunnel, to the right is the obvious way to the next open area, go to the right and clear the enemies around the corner. Stop (If you kill all the enemies in the next open area an Elite will get the Banshee before you do and use it to attack you. You'll know you're in the right place if there's another enemy tank in the area.) Now, jump out of the Scorpion and stay to the Left edge of the valley. Look up, you should see a Ledge above you with some lights on the underside. The Banshee is on that ledge so get underneath it and shoot some rockets up to knock it off. Remember to move something forward with concussion weapons you have to shoot behind it, so use you brain. If done correctly off will tumble the Banshee, if done incorrectly it will be pushed farther in. As an added bonus the last few sections of the level will have no enemies due to the fact you've skipped so much.

Hungry Grunt

In the very last level of the game, as you're driving the Warthog out of the Pillar of Autumn, get out at the 2 tunnel off of the main one and there will be a grunt at the end of it. he should say something like " I can't wait to get back to the ship and eat some grub!"

Hunter easy kill

Hunters are actually pretty easy to kill, the trick is to be in close combat. Just jump to the side when they try to hit you and shoot them in the back. They have no armor on their back so 5-10 shots with the pistol takes them out pretty easy.

Infinite Grenades

To get infinite grenades, scorpion, and ghost in multiplayer- Go to the multiplayer screen: go to edit game types: In that menu you will have the option to make up your own game type.

James Bond-style vehicle change

Fly low over a Warthog with the Banshee. Press B to jump out, then press B again when close to the Warthog to land in the driver's seat. This works with all seating positions.

Keyes: Hidden area

When you get to the area that there is a hole in the ship, there is a way to enter it. You cannot do this by means of the "Health Pack" ledge. There is an invisible wall there preventing you from landing on the edge. Instead, look over to the right. It is difficult to see, but there is a ledge that you can land on. There are three to four boxes there; two to three standing and one flat. It is in that area where the ledge is located. If necessary, use the flashlight or grenade to help find it. Do not use too many grenades as you will need them to finish the trick. The trick to finishing this procedure is a quick hand that presses Start. After that, "Revert To Saved". As for getting across, you cannot do it by simply jumping. First, you will need a grenade. The plasma grenade works the best. Next, back up and aim in the general direction of the ledge. Throw the plasma grenade to just near the edge. If it falls, use another or just restart. If it lands on the edge or near it, time the grenade (this may be done by throwing one, timing it and restarting to try the trick). If it is timed correctly, jump just in front of the grenade and as it explodes, it should propel you across and onto the ledge. Jump onto the boxes and kill the enemies. You now are in a secret area that contains locked doors and ammunition. When you are finished, jump toward the "Health Ledge" (if you lost health from the blast or from enemies) and continue the game as normal.

Kill Fast on Split Screen

You must make you own game in split screen. Then you turn off the sheild. And get a human pistol. When playing the game. Zoom in and shoot at there head if you hit him/her it kills them in one shot.

Kill Master Chief in Cinematic

This is only possible to do in co-op mode, so get a friend to help out. Near the end of "Assault on the Control Room", at the base of the big pyramid-type building, rush over and steal a Ghost from the two parked ones. Get the Ghost (in one piece) to the top of the pyramid (Get your friend to do the fighting while you take care of the Ghost). Open the large blast doors, kill whatever is in your way, and keep going down the hallway. When you reach the VERY LAST door (ie. The one that triggers the cinematic), stop. Line the Ghost up with the centre of the door as best as you can, and back it up about one or two Ghost-lengths away. Have your friend hit the switch to open the door, wait a half-second or so, and then gun it towards the door. If your timing was right, the Ghost should JUST fit between the doors, and during the cinematic the Ghost (now without a pilot) will mow down Master Chief from behind, killing him. The cinematic will go on as normal, except for the absence of Master Chief (you will still hear his voice, though). Also, in certain camera angles, you will see Master Chief's corpse in different poses, such as tilting 45 degrees to the left with his gun stuck in the ground. It will work more than once (I've done it three times so far), and it just looks damn funny to see Master Chief get run down by his own Ghost. Props to The Fiend for co-piloting.

Kill The Captain

If you are in a happy and silly mood try this: at the first level when the captain gives you a pistol, get out of the room to the place where you see the first grunts. kill them and go back to the captain's room and kill him. Its so funny. Cortana will say, " WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? Security to the bridge. The master chief has gone crazy". Then you will get locked inside and the troops get invincible and come and attack you because they think you are a traitor. (if you are playing 2 player mode and one of you kills the captain, the other player poofs to the captain's room and gets locked too)

Magical Flood

Play through the level: Two Betrayls, until you get to the part where it says: "Final run" at the bottom of the screen. Instead of going straight forward to the battle where the Flood and the Covenant are fighting, look to the left and you will see a small hill with a large tree and a few small rocks to the left of it. Go towards the hill and jump over the rocks and go to the left of the tree that will be right in front of you. Ahead you will see a small tunnel. Get close enough to the tunnel that you are inside it a little. If done correctly, Flood will appear out of nowhere and attack you. This is suicide, because some of the Flood members that appear have Rocket Launchers.

Make a team member fly into the air

When a person gets into the Warthog (gunner's seat), throw a plasma grenade on his body. Move away and watch him fly into the air.

More Power to Plasma Pistol

To do this you must have a plasma pistol, when you do hold down the trigger until the gun is shaking rapidly. That makes it more powerfull.

Multi-player mode: Ambush in Sidewinder

In Sidewinder level, go to the blue base. Jump up on the cliff to the left of the base. Then, stand directly outside of the hallway that slants down. Look down, throw a human grenade, and jump. Immediately before it explodes, shoot a rocket down. Hold Back when in the air, and you should make it to a glitched location, with no scenery. Walk around a bit, and you should see a hole that leads to one of the level's tunnels. Stay there until someone comes under the hole. You should be able to jump down and ambush them unexpectedly.

Multi-player mode: Block teleports

Take two vehicles and place them over the teleports. This will make it impossible for anyone to escape through the teleport from sniper shots.

Multi-player mode: Extra ammunition

In cooperative mode, have your friend kill you by hitting you in back with a melee attack. Then, have him pick up your ammunition, respawn again, and repeat. Have him keep killing you until he is full, then have your player pick up your ammo after he kills you. You will then have maximum ammunition. Note: this only works for the machine gun.

In some levels at corridors, you will see an orange flash when one of team passes through a checkpoint. When this happens, get one player to stand still and hold X to reload. while other player runs back down the corridor to make the orange flash appear again. When this happens, the player who has been standing still should now empty his magazine by firing off until the gun reloads itself. When the player that held X has obtained unlimited ammunition for that level, do the same with other player. Note: Once you have unlimited ammunition, let the weapon reload automatically. If you reload manually, change weapons, press X to enter any vehicle or gun turrets, or die, you will lose this effect.

Multi-player mode: Get on top of buildin

Go to Blood Gulch in multi-player mode (set vehicles on all). Put a Tank close to one of the buildings, then put a Warthog and a Ghost next to the Warthog. Go to the other base, pick up the Warthog, and jump the Ghost, Warthog, and Tank.

Multi-player mode: plasma grenades

Create your own multi-player settings, and set infinite grenades and all vehicles. Start the multi-player game, then kill yourself. You will get plasma grenades after you have died once. Go to kill the other player. Throw a plasma grenade "under" his body and he will fly all over you. Throw more grenades on him for more fun. You can also blow up vehicles with your plasma grenades. Throw a plasma grenade on the door of the Warthog and it will make a barrel roll, flipping sideways. Throw a plasma grenade on the front of the car or on the back of it.

Multi-player mode: Recommended weapons

The weapons of choice are a shotgun or rifle, and a sniper. This allows you good coverage for short and long-range battles. The sniper helps you take out people that unaware you are aiming at them or in tanks. The shotgun is useful in close combat. Also, do not forget melee attacks and grenades.

Multi-player mode: Scorpion Blood Gulch

Drive a Scorpion into the cave on the side of the level that has a very narrow opening on one side. There are two entrances to the cave, but if you can get the Scorpion into it, you will be able to destroy anyone who tries to enter. It is an easy way to obliterate your opponent.

Multi-player mode: Snipers, Battle Creek

There are multiple sniper platforms in various places around the level. You can access the large beam in the middle of the level either from running up it from the ground near the river, or you can jump over to it from one of the sniper rifle locations. On top is the rocket launcher, which is extremely useful in this small map. If you look along the beam, to your left is a small ridge which you can land on and is also a good sniper platform. You can also access the roofs of the structures from the right side if you are looking from the front doorway to the river.

Multi-player mode: Spin The Gun

Create a multi-player game with one life instead of infinite. Start the game, find a gun on the ground, and shoot it with a gun that uses bullets. The gun will spin around. Have four people surround the gun, shoot it and whoever the gun points at after its done spinning will be killed. Whoever remains after the final kill is the winner, just like spin the bottle, but with guns.

Multi-player mode: Stuffed in hole

In the second level in multi-player mode, when you get to the light bridge have one person activate the bridge as another one is about to drive off. The second person (in the vehicle) will be warped to the light bridge switch, but the Warthog is nowhere to be found. You cannot really do anything now. However, if you walk about halfway across the light bridge, you can see the metal "arms" that came out. It is difficult, but possible, to jump down onto the arms. If you have good balance, you can walk on the narrow arm to the wall. Once there, you can duck down and crawl into the hole. Have the second player kill himself so that they are in the hole with you. There is a small drop off that leads down a hallway, then a wall. If one person is against the wall and kill the other one, the other one will respawn on top of their head. The player that just died can duck, jump forward, and land back on the arm. You can either kill your friend or leave him there. Crawl out of the hole and jump back onto the bridge.

Multi-player mode: Suicide strategy

When on a difficult stage, send one of the players out to kill everybody and have the other player remain in a hiding spot with the plasma gun, shooting people. If the other player dies, go into hiding and wait for them to reappear.

Multi-player mode: Warthog Blood Gulch

Create a multi-player game with two people and enable all vehicles. Take the Warthog and ram it in the side door leading up to the top of the base. Then, have that person hold Up so it does not fall out. Next, have the other person use the Tank and ram the back of the Warthog. If it does not pop up, try the Ghost and ram it again. if done correctly, the Warthog should pop up to the top of the base. Note: If one side does not work try the other side.

Name in Blood

In the very last level of the game, as you're driving the Warthog out of the Pillar of Autumn, on the second jump, do not go all the way across. Then back into the room thats behind you and get out. if you look on the wall the name REX will be in blood on the wall.

Plasma Grenade

If your going to use a plasma grenade, try throwing the grenade on the alien where it sticks onto them. It will blow up on them making sure it will kill the alien. Also the aliens can do this to you if you don't move.

Playing in legendary mode

Get a friend. Have your friend sacrifice himself until the room is clear. Always use a good combination of weapons, and think about your surroundings and enemies when choosing weapons. The sniper rifle is great until you reach the Flood. A good combination is the shotgun (the human pistol before you reach the Flood), an automatic weapon, and grenades. If you do not prefer to follow this example, then remember to use a combination of short and long range weapons. Conserve ammunition. Never waste ammunition, always gather as much ammunition as possible, reload your weapon during any break in the action, and switch off any plasma weapon for a better one whenever possible. Take it slow. Do not burst in to take all of the fire. Also, use the scenery as a cover. If you can fit behind it, you can hide behind it. Use the enemies themselves to your advantage. Remember that each enemy type has their own mannerisms and characteristics. Take shortcuts when possible. Here are some examples. In The Silent Cartographer level head directly to the security override station. In the Assault On The Control Room level, after you get one of the early Banshees, in the area after you go under the tunnel you cannot take the tank through, the double bridge will be directly above you. Ride the Banshee to the bridge and skip a large portion of that level. Taking this shortcut means there will be no more enemies throughout the rest of the level. In the 343 Guilty Spark level, go to the secret area with the 2-D trees and follow the cliff through the structure that goes indoors. In The Maw level, after the dropship gets taken down, you will keep going. Continue until you see the first open door on your right. Enter there and take another right. This can shave a good minute and a half off the time it takes to get to the Longsword at the end of the level.

Playing one player two player

If you are tiered of starting back checkpoints. Go to co-op and play one of the controlers this way you can run into a battle with no fear, because you will start right next to the second person every time.

Really easy hunter kill

When your fighting a hunter all you need is a pistol and one shot.(and a brain so you can aim). get up close so that he charges. When he does dodge the attack in any way that gets you behind him. Now take your time and aim the shot right into the orange flesh of his back. Fire and he goes BOOM! This really helps in legendary!

Rocket Launcher instructions

If you have a gun with a scope, use it to look at the middle of the Rocket Launcher. You will see a small picture with a man holding the gun with the text "Hold This Way".

Second Bridge

On the second level when you are getting out of the ship. To your left there is a bridge and below it is another. Go to the right of it and there should be a crack. Slide down it slowly. It is just for fun.

Shortcut

Play "Assault on the Control Room". It doesn't matter what difficulty setting or if you are playing 1 or 2 player mode. Get to "If I only had a super weapon". Rush right ahead and ignore the Jackals and the first Elite. Instead, kill the second one as he is somind over the hill. Then run to the next one who is coming around the banshee. If you kill them both, the two banshees will be yours for the taking. I would suggest using the Plasma Rifle for killing them, as it stuns. You can use the 2 banshees for a banshee fight with a friend, too. Anyways. Ignore the enemies and do not go to the end of the bridge. Instead, go to the top of the hill that leads to the Control Room. There will be no Hunters, or aliens on the way up the hill! There will be the enemies that come out of the big door, though, but this shave's precious time off the level.

Silent Cartographer: Double swordsman

Go to the room where it locks. Do not go near the door. Try to throw grenades in the door to kill the swordsman. The door should close. Later when you press the button to open the door, you see the same swordsman you killed.

Silent Cartographer: Easy completion

Take the first Warthog you get and drive it through the entire level. When you get to where you have to go through some trees, back up then ram forward. You will make it, and when you have to get out of it when you are at the "shafted" part, leave it there. When you get back it will be there. At the very end with all the Elites, just plow through them. Note: Make sure you get a passenger and a gunner at the start. After the FMV sequence and the dropship drops you off, there will be Covenant waiting for you. As soon as you are dropped off, turn around and run away from the battle. Run to the security override location first. This way, you can pick up the rocket launcher earlier in the level. By now, the people will say they killed all of the Covenant in the opening battle. However, if you get into the Warthog and drive over there, they are still battling. Kill the remaining Covenant and get some people in your Warthog. When you get to the building with the Silent Cartographer, kill the Covenant and enter the structure. There will not be Covenant in the doorway, but the Elite with the sword will still be there. Continue and finish the level as usual.

Silent Cartographer: Explore level

When you get to the blocked door, drive the Warthog into it before it closes. If done correctly, the Warthog will be stuck in the door. Press X to exit the Warthog and you should be on the other side of the door, free to run about the level.

Silent Cartographer: Flying Warthog

Play the level in multi-player cooperative mode. Fight off the aliens at the beginning, then get in the warthog and drive straight. Ignore the other aliens. After awhile, you will reach a location where you can see the ocean in front of you. There is a big rock on the beach. Walk up to it and have your friend kill you. You will drop your grenades. Also kill the marine in front of the rock. After you have killed everyone (about three people), park the Warthog over all of the dead bodies. Then, back up and throw a fragmentation grenade under the Warthog. If done correctly, the Warthog will fly into the air very high.

Silent Cartographer: Kill a Hunter

On the way down to the Map room will be a long room with two Hunters that are guarding the ramp that you must descend. Kill one of the Hunters to make things easier, then get in stampede range of the other Hunter. Make him charge at you repeatedly. Try to lure him out the entrance to the room he was in and get him near the dropoff where all the weapons and health packs were located. If done correctly, you will be able to get him to charge at you close enough to the cliff that when you step aside he will fall to his death. You can also jump down this way to a small ledge on the left to skip a lot of this level.

Silent Cartographer: Shortcut

Jump all the way down off the ledge where you see the Chief kick a rock off the edge by getting an overshield from outside. If you make it, look down at the next level. There is another overshield. Jump -- you must land on the overshield or you will die.

Silent Level shortcut

This will help if your annoyed by always having to go back because the yellow dude locks the door. First find a warthhog and get some people inside. Go where the place where there are lots of guys and where kortana says the covenant are putting up a real fight. Go down completely with your warthhog and go at full speed directly where the yellow dude is. If you did it right then your warthhog will be half way through. Press forward and get out. Then pass the level like you usually do and come back where the warthog is stuck. You may think it is impossible to get out but just press back and then get out. You will be in back of it and now you're done the hard part!

silly spinning elite in banshee

on assault of the control room when you blow up the 1st generater when you get to the place where you blow up the second generater take a banshee to the top of the tower kill the yellow elite and grunts with the big guns but dont kill the blue elite you will see a a little passage that goes in a little and then ends well if you go near the the edge the elite will hop in the banshee and trie to run you over go back in the little place and the elite will hit the wall but cant get you throw a plasma genade or fragment gernade on the banshee and he sarts spinning in circles and blows up. its pretty funny to watch.

Slaughter your friends

When playing split screen make your own game with human weapons only. Then add all vehicles and get rid of shields. Go to any level with a good sniping position. Get a sniper rifle and go there as soon as you can. Because the shields are off 1 shot to any where but the arms and legs instantly kills them. It's cheap but really fun to piss off all your friends!

Sneak in and Kill

In some levels the covnet are sleeping or not paying attention. Simply pistol whip them. But, if you miss they will get up. You still have a chance to kill them. DON'T SHOOT THEM. Pistol whip them before they shoot.

Survive almost any drop with any vehicle

Immediately before you go off any high drop, send your vehicle into a 360 circle turn. This works best with the Warthog or Ghost. You can fall an incredible distance and receive no damage.

The Maw: Extra Warthog

When you are about to go to the part where Echo 419 goes down, immediately after the jump is a warthog, sitting directly under it. This is in case a Banshee shoots yours off the cliff.

The Maw: No Flood in engine room

Play through the level as usual until you get to the engine room or the first time you go to the open armory. Before you go into the room, turn your flashlight on. If it is a cooperative multi-player game, have player two watch the back door with his flashlight on while player one gets all his items, then switch. Once you both get your ammunition, walk backwards out of the armory then continue as usually. If done correctly, there should be no Flood in the engine room. Note: You still may run into the invisible Flood in the armory and the little Flood in the engine room, but not the big ones. In multi-player mode, when you are going to the room to blow up the couplings, in the hallway before you get there, have one person stay around in that area. Do not open the door. By doing this no big Flood will go after the person that will blow up the couplings.

The Maw: Stop Sentinels in the engine

Note: You can only do this in cooperative multi-player mode. When you reach the control room, have one player go up into the area where you open the tubes to blow up the reactors. Keep going past that area, then continue through the doors until you reach an area with a big piece of metal laying on the ground. Jump up on top of it, then jump to the spot in front of it. Then, jump up to the wall on the right and stand there. If you move from this spot, the Sentinels will just keep appearing. If you done correctly, the Sentinels will no longer bother the other player as they blow up the reactors.

The Pillar Of Autumn: Security at bridge

Immediately after you receive your pistol from Keyes at the very start of the game, leave the room. Once you have ammunition for the gun, return to Keyes and punch or shoot at him. After that, security will be called to the bridge and you will have yourself a shoot out with a security team, which you will surely lose. After you die, all will be forgotten, and you will once again be respected by everyone.

The Yeti

This isn't so much a code. It's just something that shouldn't be where it is. In the level "Guilty Spark 343", there is a crashed Covenant dropship just around one of the corners you must turn (the second or third, I believe). Up above this dropship is a tree jutting out over a ledge. On this object is a Flood-infested Elite (the bulkier Flood ones that don't pop). It appears as you come around the corner and runs back along the log after a few seconds then disappears. It is named 'The Yeti' because it diappears whenever seen. This is really weird because the Flood have yet to be introduced at this point. Also, the Yeti is invincible. You can sneak up on it from behind (which is too long and tedious a subject to go into), but don't have your co-op partner go around the partner until you're in position. It can withstand a pistol whip to the back of the head and a plasma grednade, so we just gave up. It's really fun, though. I suggest you try it.

Two Betrayals: Easy completion

On the part with the land bridge after the room with Hunters, blow everything up with the rocket launcher. Make sure to get the Covenant Tank. This will make the Banshee fall off the bridge. There will be no enemies remaining. Next, jump (do not fall) onto the support of the control room pyramid. You will lose three life, but there are no enemy to worry about. You can now walk down, get the Banshee, and fly safely up to the big door. Kill the enemy with the Banshee and go to the control room.

Two Betrayals: Elevator Hunter kill

When you go up against the Hunters when you get off the elevator, press the button to make it go down. Then, have one of the Hunters charge you and quickly move out of the way. The hunter will fall to its death.

Two Betrayals: Ghost

Playing the level in cooperative multi-player mode is recommended. When you get to the part where you open the door and it explodes and leaves a small crack, take a Warthog and place it a few feet behind and slightly to the right of it. Take a Ghost and hit the warthog parallel to each other, causing the Ghost to do a little rotation, but just enough to squeeze you through the crack. This can be done with some practice. With more practice, you can get it into the crack at the top. When you take the Ghost past the part where it says"Final Run", speed up the hill and look to your right when there are usually Flood members. They will not appear until "Final Run" has gone off the screen, along with every other enemy there.

Two Betrayals: Killing Covenants

This trick works best in multi-player mode, but also can be done in single player. Go to the end where you have destroy thethird pulse generator where the Banshee/Banshees are located. If you are having trouble killing the Covenants because you have no place to heal, when you first walk in on the battle between the Floods and Convenants, you will see a door to your left. The lights will be red, but you can still go in it. This works better on multi-player mode because if your teammate has been killed, he can respawn there.

Two Betrayals: Skateboarding

At the bottom of the pyramid is a Banshee. Get in it and go to the middle of the pyramid (lengthwise). Go up that object there and it looks like you are grinding. To do spins, hold Right Analog-stick Right or Left. To do a grab trick, go very high. Get out of the Banshee and get back in very quickly. To do a stall, do the same thing as grinding, only stop mid-rail.

Unlock New End Movie

Beat the game on the Legendary setting to unlock a longer, different final movie.

Your in My Seat

When one of your computer controlled buddies is in a vehicle spot/seat you want simply go over to that spot and press X. They will graciously move.
