This is a simple but effective trick. It is used alot in punk music and on heavy distortion. It does however make an impressive introduction to a new song.
It's very simple. All you must do is find a pick, turn it sideways and bring it whilst on the string, from the back pickup to the front pickup. It can be done on anystring and on anynote, but in my opinion it is most impressive on Low e open string.
And thats all there is to it, a simple but effective trick.
