Change The Standard Colours In Excel

Tips And Tricks For Microsoft Excel

Change the standard colours in Excel:

You have a choice of 56 colours that can be applied to fonts or cell backgrounds. These colours can be viewed in various dialog boxes in Excel.

Select Format/Cells and then choose the Font, Borders or Patterns page to view the standard colours.

If you'd rather use a different set of standard colours:

1. Select Tools/Options and then choose the color tab.

2. Select a colour you wish to change.

3. Click the modify button and a colour palette is displayed.

4. Select the colour of your choice.

Repeat this process for all colours you want to change. Choose OK and the colours become available to you in the Format/Cells dialog box.
