The key to being a really good pool player is leaving the cue ball set up for the next shot. If you want the cue ball to bounce back toward you after hitting the object ball, you need to hit it to "draw."
1. Concentrate on the shot at hand. There is no need worrying about your next shot if you don't make this one.
2. Hit the cue ball halfway between dead center and the very bottom.
3. Stroke the ball normally, keeping your cue fairly level.
