To be a good pool player, you have to think about where the cue ball will end up after your shot. If you want the cue ball to keep rolling after it hits the object ball, you need to hit it to "follow."
1. Concentrate on the shot you are making. If you don't make this shot, it won't matter where the ball ends up.
2. Aim to strike the cue ball above dead center. The higher you hit on the cue ball, the more it will follow after striking the object ball.
