Straight pool is what they played in "The Hustler" and is sometimes difficult for beginners. It is also known as 14:1, Continuous Pool, Call Shot and Straights.
1. Rack all the balls. Color and order do not matter in this game.
2. Break. You must call the ball and pocket on the break.
3. Call the ball and intended pocket on each shot.
4. Score a point for each shot you make.
5. Continue shooting when you make a shot.
6. Alternate turns, switching each time you fail to make your intended shot.
7. Re-rack when fourteen balls have been sunk and only one remains on the table. Leave the final ball where it is and a blank spot at the tip of the triangle.
