1. Set your feet as you would for an ollie or a grind (check out our Related eHows).
2. Ride parallel to the object you want to slide on with the same speed as you would for a grind.
3. Ollie and start to turn as you would for a backside 180.
4. Aim the nose of your board toward the top of the object you want to slide, and push toward it with your front foot.
5. Lean into the object once the nose and front wheels make contact with the edge of it, putting as much weight as possible on the nose of the board.
6. Take the weight off your back foot when you have leveled out on the object, and nearly stand on the toes of your rear foot.
7. Keep your head facing the direction you are sliding - when you want to come off, all you have to do is turn your shoulders and hips to catch up with it.
8. Expect your feet to pivot back into place naturally as you drop off the object.
