How to Shoot a Soccer Ball With Power:
Since scoring goals is the object of the game, a powerful shot can make the difference between a nil-nil game and a victory lap.
1. Approach the ball so there's a direct line between you, the ball and the goal.
2. Place your nonkicking foot even with the ball and approximately six inches to the side.
3. Allow the knee of your kicking leg to be directly above or even a little beyond the ball the moment before making contact.
4. Hit the ball at its center line with your toes pointed at the ground.
5. Follow through with your knee still slightly bent and your toes aimed at the ground.
